Swim for Life® focuses on lifesaving first, strokes second. Skills are learned progressively, with safety skills built into every level.
Parent & Tot (4 months–3 years)
- Parent participates in the water
- Builds water comfort and safe habits
- Floating, splashing, entries, and movement
Preschool Levels 1–5 (Ages 3–5)
- Independent swimming skills without a parent
- Floats, glides, kicking, and basic strokes
- Safe entries and water awareness
Swimmer Levels 1–3 (Beginner)
- Front and back floats and glides
- Introduction to front crawl and back crawl
- Safe jumps and exits
Swimmer Levels 4–6 (Intermediate)
- Improved front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke
- Increased endurance
- Introduction to self‑rescue and basic rescue concepts
Swimmer Levels 7–9 (Advanced)
- Timed and distance swims
- Stroke refinement and fitness
- Pre‑lifesaving skills and decision‑making
After Swimmer 6 or 7, swimmers are considered lesson‑complete and ready for advanced programs.
