John Bolt
John is honoured to serve as Greenwood’s mayor since 2022, having previously been elected as city councillor for the four years prior, where he advocated for the citizens of Greenwood.
He is also serving a second year on the RDKB and has been chair of the West Boundary Community Forest for over six years.
John moved to Greenwood in 2016, bought a mixed-use commercial/residential building, and operated a successful variety retail store for nearly nine years with his wife, Marietta. He sees great potential for Canada’s smallest city.
Previously, he worked for 30 years in the autobody and industrial painting industry and owned a successful body shop for 18 of those years, specializing in painting classic cars, motorcycles, and aircraft.
John will continue to help council and staff make Greenwood ready for the future through asset management, securing grants to fund much-needed infrastructure upgrades, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
John is a motivated leader dedicated to advancing Greenwood’s interests and livability.

Clint Huisman
Born in Port Alberni, BC, Clinton Huisman was raised with a deep appreciation for the natural world, the power of family, and the strength that comes from connected, resilient communities.
Clint spent 21 years with WestJet’s Inflight department, building a diverse and accomplished career. Guided by his long-time love of the outdoors, the unique culture of small communities, and close family connections, Clint eventually followed a new path that led him back to his roots. That journey brought him to Greenwood and the West Boundary - one of British Columbia’s most remarkable and undiscovered regions - where he has become an enthusiastic community advocate and channels his passion for bringing people together and supporting vibrant local life.

CJ Rhodes
Councillor Rhodes has lived in Greenwood for five years and was elected to serve Greenwood residents in a 2023 by-election.
Prior to retiring in Greenwood, Rhodes was a business owner in the South Okanagan for 25 years and served as a town Councillor for four consecutive terms in his former community, starting in 2008. His business experience provides him with valuable insights and skills that he brings to his role in municipal government.
CJ and his wife, Lisa, are active community members and sports enthusiasts who enjoy the many outdoor activities that are part of our community. Councillor Rhodes is thrilled to call Greenwood his “forever” home and is excited to help the City of Greenwood grow and succeed.
