Greenwood Heritage Society – Greenwood Museum

Located on Copper Street (Main street) in downtown Greenwood. Open during May to October

Open daily May 1st to October 31st. Visit the interesting displays of Greenwood's early history and learn about the Japanese internment during World War II. The museum gift shop has souvenirs; Japanese crafts; books - local Boundary Historical, Trans Canada Trail, Mining History, Japanese Internment, Railway History, Backroads. The Visitor Info Centre has a great collection of travel information from around BC & Alberta as well as postcards & maps. Tourist information is available here.

Computer Access Site - Public Internet access:  Sponsored by Industry Canada the museum offers a CAP site. Internet access - available 7days a week, May 1st to October 31st.
Archival Research - large inventory of Greenwood and area history. Local newspapers on microfilm.
Snow Falling on Cedars - filmed in Greenwood in 1997-98. Display of shots in and around Greenwood featuring locals as film extras.
