West Kootenay Power Building open house on May 22, 2002 provided visitors an update including demolition and renovations being considered and how the story of mining and smelting in the Boundary Area might be presented. Over 75 visitors also viewed the Alternate Energy demonstration presenting the 'old' and the 'new.'
